A set of 56 cards to be used alongside Dienes (Place Value) resources. Suitable for Upper Key Stage 2 children (Years 5 and 6).
 
Use the Dienes block that usually represents one hundred to now represent 1, the ten block to represent 0.1 and the ones block to represent 0.01.
 
Children make a monster that respresents a particular value, thinking carefully about how many of each Dienes block they need.
 
Cards include making decimals to one and two decimal places, numbers that round to the nearest one and tenth and decimals that can be added together to give a specific total.
