Probably my most asked question on social media is "What is your favourite maths resource?". This is like asking me who my favourite child is (which changes daily!). There are so many wonderful resources I use and it largely depends on the children I'm working with and the areas of maths we are covering.
There is a whole Resources Zoom Recording (60 minutes long) on the website where I discuss some of my favourite resources at length. I am incredibly passionate about ensuring maths is taught in a fun, engaging and meaningful way for children of ALL AGES. When buying a resource, I want to know that I'm going to be getting value for money and that it is something I can use in a variety of different ways.

Dienes Blocks
These are my favourite Dienes blocks and also really reasonably priced too! After about 15 years of teaching, I finally discovered these ones which stick together, allowing for some really fun and engaging activities. Newmero Bricks
These are absolutely brilliant and such a lovely, tactile resource. The children are always drawn to these! Great for exploring place value but can also be used for number bonds to 10/100/1000 too. If two numbers make a number bond, they will join together perfectly when placed side by side. If they don't make a number bond, they won't quite fit together! Click here to buy yours.
